Orlando Theme Park Expansions!

Happy New Year, hope you had a great time over the holidays. 2014 brings with it a whole host of new adventures in Orlando! Universal is set to launch its new Harry Potter land which connects the 2 parks via a train ride from platform 9 and 3/4! Diagon Alley is the official name and they recently announced that the Leaky Cauldron will be a new restaurant. 

Disney is well underway with the change of Downtown Disney, they are changing it to Disney Springs which will feature 4 neighborhoods, the town center, which will be set in natural springs, the landing, marketplace and west side. The development will include over 150 shopping and restaurant venues. The expansion will be opening in phases with a plan to be done by 2016. The development is meant to portray lakeside towns that Florida was know for in the early 1900’s.

Of course if Disney is to do theirs then Universal will have to do theirs! Announced was that City Walk is to get an expansion as well! 8 New venues are set to open throughout 2014 the expansion includes a tapas style restaurant, a sandwich shop, a build your own pasta restaurant and a Neapolitan style pizza bakery. Cold Stone creamery is going to open a store, must have Ice Cream! Then there will be a sushi restaurant, a frozen yogurt place and a hot dog hall of fame! So there is a lot going on in 2014.
